The Board of Trustees is supposed to address all aspects of shipping and environmental protection, in a constant dialogue and in a creative and future-related manner, and to make suggestions to the management board on concrete funding measures. It has to control the management board and to especially make sure that the management board ensures the constant and long-term attainment of the foundation’s purpose and the preservation of the endowment fund.
